When You’re Exhausted By Struggle | Hold On To The Promise
“So verily, with hardship comes ease.”
’’پس بے شک مشکل کے ساتھ آسانی بھی آتی ہے۔‘‘
“فإن مع العسر يسرا”
Reference : (Surah Ash-Sharh 94:6)
1.The Weight That Feels Endless
We’ve all had moments when life feels like it’s pressing down on us — bills piling up, relationships breaking, health declining, or dreams slipping away. In those moments, hopelessness whispers, “It will always be like this.”
But Allah interrupts that thought with a divine truth: ease is not just coming — it’s already traveling with your hardship.
2. The Psychology of Hope
In psychology, hope is a protective factor — it changes how our brain perceives pain. When we believe there’s a light ahead, the darkness feels less suffocating. Allah doesn’t just tell us once; He says it twice in Surah Ash-Sharh (verses 5 & 6). That repetition isn’t for poetic beauty — it’s for mental reinforcement, rewiring our thoughts to expect relief.
3. Hardship and Ease Are Twins
The verse doesn’t say after hardship comes ease, it says with hardship comes ease. That means:
Your struggle and your solution might be unfolding at the same time.
The lessons, strength, and clarity you’re gaining now are part of the ease.
Relief is not a distant dream — it’s quietly building beside your pain.
4. The Mindset Shift That Saves You
When life feels unbearable, repeat this truth to yourself:
“My ease is already here. I may not see it yet, but Allah promised it twice.”
That shift from despair to anticipation changes everything — your posture, your patience, your prayers. You stop dragging yourself through life, and start walking towards the relief you believe is near.
