Daily Sunnah Protections From Jinn, Black Magic, And Evil Eye

1. Ayat al-Kursi Before Sleeping

Allah! There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him, the Ever-Living, All-Sustaining. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who could possibly intercede with Him without His permission? He ˹fully˺ knows what is ahead of them and what is behind them, but no one can grasp any of His knowledge—except what He wills ˹to reveal˺. His Seat1 encompasses the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of both does not tire Him. For He is the Most High, the Greatest.

(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:255)

 Hadith Reference:

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi at night, Allah will appoint a protector over him and no devil will come near him until morning.”

(Sahih al-Bukhari, 2311)

Practical Tip: Recite this every night before sleep for full protection.

 2. Surah Al-Falaq & Surah An-Naas (Morning & Evening)

“Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak… Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind…”

(Surah Al-Falaq 113, Surah An-Naas 114)

Hadith Reference:

“Recite Surah Al-Falaq and An-Naas three times in the morning and evening; they will suffice you against all harm.”

(Sunan Abi Dawud, 5082)

Practical Tip: Recite them 3x after Fajr and 3x after Maghrib.

3. Last Two Verses of Surah Al-Baqarah

“The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord… Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear…”

(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:285–286)

Hadith Reference:

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever recites the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah at night, they will be sufficient for him.”

(Sahih al-Bukhari, 5009)

4. Morning & Evening Adhkar (Remembrances)

“We have reached the morning, and at this very time all sovereignty belongs to Allah…” (Morning Dua)

Hadith Reference:

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever recites the morning and evening supplications, Allah will protect him from harm until the next morning/evening.”

(Sunan Ibn Majah, 3868)

Practical Tip: Make it a daily habit — short but powerful shield.

 Psychological Connection

  1. Routine of recitation builds mental resilience against fear.
  2. When whispers of jinn or evil thoughts appear, remembrance re-centers the mind.
  3. Daily protection creates a feeling of safety and calm, reducing stress.

 Real-Life Reflection

  • Before Sleep: Recite Ayat al-Kursi + Falaq & Naas → peaceful sleep, no nightmares.
  • Morning Routine: Begin the day with morning adhkar → you carry a shield all day.
  • Before Leaving Home: Prophet ﷺ taught to say Bismillah, tawakkaltu ‘ala Allah (In the name of Allah, I put my trust in Allah) → protects from harm.

 Takeaway for Life

Protection from unseen harm is not complicated.
The Prophet (P.B.U.H) gave us daily spiritual routines that are short, simple, and powerful — true shields for body, mind, and soul. “Your strongest shield isn’t physical — it’s spiritual.  Qur’an and Sunnah give you a daily routine of protection from envy, black magic, and whispers.
