Saudi Arabia Tourist Visa: How to Apply and Who is Eligible



Saudi Arabia announced tourist visas for the first time in September 2019, offering e-visas and visas on arrival to citizens of 49 countries. As part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, the eVisa will be a one-year, multiple entry visa, allowing tourists to spend up to 90 days in the country.

How much does it cost?
The visa will cost you SAR 440 (Dh431) plus VAT.

How do you apply for a Saudi visa?
A dedicated online portal at visitsaudi.com has been launched and electronic kiosks are available at airports.

What is the processing time?
E-visa: Time taken to issue an e-visa is 5-30 minutes in most cases.
At a Consulate: 1-2 business days in most cases.

Who can apply for the Saudi visa?

49 countries are able to apply for an e-Visa online or get a Visa on arrival into Saudi Arabia. This includes:

How Indians, Pakistanis and citizens from the South Asian continent can apply?
Nationals of countries that are not included (Indians, Pakistanis and citizens from the South Asian continent) on the list are eligible for a Saudi tourist visa through the Kingdom’s embassies and consulates. Visit MOFA

Documents required include for Indians, Pakistanis and citizens from the South Asian continent :
– Proof of accommodation
– Return ticket
– Proof of employment
– Bank statement

Before applying, make sure the passport is valid for at least six months at the time of entering Saudi Arabia. Refunds in the event of a rejection is not possible, and visa fees are also non-refundable.

It is also important to note that applicants will be charged 100 riyals for each day of overstaying the tourist visa.
