Hadith On Sunnah | The Prophet (P.B.U.H) Speaks As If To Say Farewell
Abdullah ibn Amr reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came out to us one day as if to say farewell. The Prophet said, “I am Muhammad, the unlettered prophet. There is no prophet after me. I have been given words that are eloquent, comprehensive, and decisive. I know how many angels guard the Hellfire and carry the Throne. Leniency came through me and I was pardoned along with my nation. Thus, listen and obey me as long as I am among you. When I am taken away, then you must adhere to the Book of Allah. Make lawful what it declares to be lawful and forbid what it declares to be forbidden.”
عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک دن ہمارے پاس وداع کرنے کے لیے نکلے۔ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میں محمد ہوں، ان پڑھ نبی۔ میرے بعد کوئی نبی نہیں۔ مجھے ایسے الفاظ دیے گئے ہیں جو فصیح، جامع اور فیصلہ کن ہیں۔ میں جانتا ہوں کہ کتنے فرشتے جہنم کی حفاظت کرتے ہیں اور عرش کو اٹھاتے ہیں۔ مجھ میں نرمی آئی اور مجھے میری قوم سمیت معاف کر دیا گیا۔ پس جب تک میں تمہارے درمیان ہوں میری سنو اور اطاعت کرو۔ جب مجھے لے جایا جائے گا تو تم اللہ کی کتاب کو لازم پکڑو۔ جس چیز کو حلال قرار دے اسے حلال کرو اور جس چیز کو حرام قرار دے اسے حرام کرو۔
