Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Shall I not teach you a prayer which, if you supplicated by it, Allah would discharge your debt from you even if it were like the size of a mountain? Say: O Allah, the Absolute Sovereign, You grant sovereignty to whomever You will and deny sovereignty to whomever You will. You empower whomever You will and subjugate whomever You will. All goodness is in Your hand, for You alone have power over all things. The Most Merciful of the world and the Hereafter, You give from them both to whomever You will and withhold from them both to whomever You will. Have mercy upon me with such mercy that will suffice me from anyone else besides You.”
انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”کیا میں تمہیں ایسی دعا نہ سکھاؤں کہ اگر تم اس کے ذریعے دعا مانگو تو اللہ تعالیٰ تم پر سے تمہارا قرض اتار دے گا، اگرچہ اس کے حجم کے برابر ہو۔ پہاڑ؟ کہو: اے اللہ، مطلق العنان، تو جسے چاہے بادشاہی عطا کرتا ہے اور جس کو چاہے بادشاہی سے انکار کرتا ہے۔ تو جسے چاہے طاقت دے اور جسے چاہے مسخر کرے۔ تمام بھلائیاں تیرے ہاتھ میں ہیں کیونکہ تو ہی ہر چیز پر قادر ہے۔ دنیا اور آخرت کے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے، تو ان دونوں میں سے جسے چاہے دے اور جس سے چاہے روک لے۔ مجھ پر ایسی رحمت نازل فرما جو تیرے سوا کسی اور سے میرے لیے کافی ہو جائے۔‘‘
