Zayd ibn Thabit reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, this nation will be put to trial in their graves. Were it not that you would stop burying each other, I would have called upon Allah to make you hear the punishment of the grave as I hear it.” Then, the Prophet turned to face us, saying, “Seek refuge in Allah from the torment of the Hellfire.” They said, “We seek refuge in Allah from the torment of the Hellfire.” The Prophet said, “Seek refuge in Allah from the torment of the grave.” They said, “We seek refuge in Allah from the torment of the grave.” The Prophet said, “Seek refuge in Allah from tribulations, the evident of them and the hidden.” They said, “We seek refuge in Allah from tribulations, the evident of them and the hidden.” The Prophet said, “Seek refuge in Allah from the tribulation of the False Messiah.” They said, “We seek refuge in Allah from the tribulation of the False Messiah.”
زید بن ثابت رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”بے شک اس امت کو ان کی قبروں میں فتنہ میں ڈالا جائے گا۔ اگر ایسا نہ ہوتا کہ تم ایک دوسرے کو دفن کرنا چھوڑ دیتے تو میں اللہ تعالیٰ سے دعا کرتا کہ وہ تمہیں قبر کا عذاب سنائے جیسا کہ میں سن رہا ہوں۔ پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہماری طرف متوجہ ہوئے اور فرمایا: جہنم کے عذاب سے اللہ کی پناہ مانگو۔ انہوں نے کہا ہم جہنم کے عذاب سے اللہ کی پناہ مانگتے ہیں۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا عذاب قبر سے اللہ کی پناہ مانگو۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم عذاب قبر سے اللہ کی پناہ مانگتے ہیں۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اللہ کی پناہ مانگو فتنوں سے، ان کے ظاہر اور پوشیدہ سے۔ انہوں نے کہا ہم اللہ کی پناہ مانگتے ہیں فتنوں سے، ان کے ظاہر اور پوشیدہ سے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”مسیح کے فتنے سے اللہ کی پناہ مانگو۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم جھوٹے مسیح کے فتنے سے اللہ کی پناہ مان
