Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah has distributed your characters among you just as He has distributed your provision. Allah gives the world to those He loves and to those He does not love, but He only gives faith to those He loves. Whoever is too stingy with wealth to spend it, too fearful of the enemy to fight them, or too worried to pray at night that he might suffer, then let him increase his declarations of the glory of Allah, that there is no God but Allah, and Allah is the greatest.”
عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”بے شک اللہ تعالیٰ نے تمہارے درمیان تمہارے کردار اسی طرح تقسیم کیے ہیں جیسے اس نے تمہارے رزق کو تقسیم کیا ہے۔ اللہ دنیا ان کو دیتا ہے جن سے وہ محبت کرتا ہے اور ان کو بھی جن سے وہ محبت نہیں کرتا، لیکن وہ صرف ان کو ایمان دیتا ہے جن سے وہ محبت کرتا ہے۔ جو شخص مال خرچ کرنے میں بخل کرتا ہو، دشمنوں سے ان سے لڑنے سے ڈرتا ہو، یا رات کو نماز پڑھنے سے گھبراتا ہو کہ اسے تکلیف پہنچے تو وہ اللہ کی شان میں اضافہ کرے کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں۔ اور اللہ سب سے بڑا ہے۔”
