Zayd ibn Thabit reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “If Allah were to punish the inhabitants of His heavens and His earth, He would punish them without being unjust to them. If He were to have mercy on them, His mercy is better for them than their deeds. If you were to spend the likes of mount Uhud in gold in the way of Allah, He would not accept it from you until you had faith in all of divine providence, such that you know what you acquire could never miss you, and what you missed you could never acquire, and that if you die upon something other than this, you will enter the Hellfire.”
زید بن ثابت رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اگر اللہ تعالیٰ اپنے آسمانوں اور زمین کے رہنے والوں کو عذاب دینے والا ہوتا تو ان پر ظلم کیے بغیر انہیں عذاب دیتا۔ اگر وہ ان پر رحم کرے تو اس کی رحمت ان کے اعمال سے بہتر ہے۔ اگر تم احد پہاڑ کے برابر سونا اللہ کی راہ میں خرچ کرو گے تو وہ تم سے اس وقت تک قبول نہیں کرے گا جب تک کہ تم اللہ کی تمام تقدیر پر یقین نہ کر لو، اس طرح کہ تم جانتے ہو کہ جو کچھ تم حاصل کرتے ہو وہ تم سے کبھی محروم نہیں ہوسکتا، اس کی کمی تم کبھی حاصل نہیں کر سکتے تھے، اور یہ کہ اگر تم اس کے علاوہ کسی اور چیز پر مر گئے تو تم جہنم میں داخل ہو جاؤ گے۔”
