Do Not Lie While Playing With Children

DON’T LIE WHILE PLAYING WITH CHILDREN

Narrated by Abdullah ibn Amir رضي الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰعنه :

My mother called me one day when the Apostle of Allah (ﺻﻠﯽ الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ ﻋﻠﯿﮧ ﻭﺍٓﻟﮧ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ) was sitting in our house.

She said,
“Come here and I shall give you Something.”

Then Allah’s Apostle (ﺻﻠﯽ الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ ﻋﻠﯿﮧ ﻭﺍٓﻟﮧ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ) asked her,
“What did you intend to give him ?”

She replied,
“I intended to give him some Dates.”

The Apostle of Allah (ﺻﻠﯽ الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ ﻋﻠﯿﮧ ﻭﺍٓﻟﮧ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ) said,
“If you were not to give him anything, a Lie would be recorded against You.”
